P-Family Donations Update #17

The donations have stalled at $3,555, probably due to it being the beginning of the week. Of course, there seems to be an upswing of donations when someone new brings the drive to their readers attention.

However, there is some good news. Bananabethanna has contacted the Rational Response Squad. Sapient has agreed to plug the drive, and made a few suggestions, too.

One is setting a goal. So, Bethanna asked me about a goal of $5,000. I agree with this, because that would be enough to pay for the film, and also to give them some extra for other items that the P-Family would need. I'll probably stop requesting donations at that point, but if anyone should send more, I wouldn't turn them down.

Two is a website that keeps track of such things. It's called chipin, and I think it's a great idea. Anyone who's interested can go to the site, and find out what the donations are up to. That way, you won't have to just take me at my word, but you can actually check the tally yourself. I'll be setting up an account, today. Hopefully, it'll actually be in my next post.

So, by this evening, people will be able to come here for the history, and go to chipin for the donating. This will greatly streamline what is going on.

Now, I'm off to set up the chipin account, and make things easier for everyone.

(If you're interested in linking to this effort, here is the history of it. The bottom of this post has the information on how to pay through Paypal.)

I'm a little curious as to why the RRS has not put up anything regarding Pmomma yet? They had me type up a summary ang Brian said (in the e-mail I forwarded you) that he'd get it up on Atheist Volunteers. Maybe not. I will say that the first time I asked them to help out, they weren't keen on it because you and Pmomma don't have their badge on your page. I told them that PM supported them through the ABC debate and Hovind Gate. That's when Brian wrote back. I wonder what gives? If you write them and say that you put an RRS link up and were wondering where the plug was they might fill us in.
