Work and other parts of reality have kept me a bit busy. So, I haven't been blogging as much as I'd like to. However, Hannah King tagged me for an internet meme. So, here goes.
These are the rules:
- Link to the person who tagged you.
- Post the rules on your blog.
- Write six random, arbitrary things about yourself.
- Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them.
- Let each person know they’ve been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
- Let the tagger know when your entry is up.
6 Random Things:
- I'm currently reading the Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It's a compendium of Douglas Adams's Hitchhiker's series. I'm in So Long and Thanks for All the Fish.
- I've had fever blisters for as long as I can remember. If anyone reading this is also plagued with them, I highly recommend Abreva. According to a study (and my personal experience supports it) it slightly shortens the healing time, helps alleviate the discomforting symptoms, and, in some cases, it can prevent a blister from forming.
- I've said before that my family is predominantly Pentecostal and Baptist. I've actually seen people "speaking in tongues", "laying on of hands", and handling fire (it's a parlor trick). There were, and maybe still are, churches in the area that I grew up that practiced snake handling. Fortunately, I never attended a church that believed "taking up the serpent" was literal. Ironically, Mark 16:17-18 didn't appear in early manuscripts, and seems to be added later. Possibly by someone with a sick sense of humor, or a heathen who wanted to get rid of a few of the more ignorant Christians.
- I'm a gun enthusiast. For those unsure of what that means, it means that I enjoy shooting for the discipline it requires. As opposed to the gun nuts who seem excessively prone to conspiracy theories.
- On my iPod I have the standard playlist of songs ranging from a-Ha, to Rob Zombie. However, I also have the musical soundtracks to Les Miserables and Pippin.
- I find the term "guilty pleasure" extremely irritating when it's used in referrence to music. Do we really try so hard to be accepted by society that we feel guilty when we like songs that the majority do not like?
I'm not going to tag six people. I realize that's part of the rules, but, as fun as this was, I still don't like the various forms of chain letters. If you read this, and feel like it, consider yourself tagged. That also means I'm not going to leave a comment on your blog telling you that you're tagged. Leave me a comment telling me that you considered yourself tagged, and I'll go take a look.
Now, I need to let Hannah know that I finally got around to it.

*lol* 'random few' was not meant in a derogatory fashion! I'm glad you enjoyed the meme ^^
screw that abreva shit.
Here is some homeopathic medicine for fever blisters
Of course a nice dose of acupuncture will also most assuredly do the trick.
Or perhaps try some ancient healing ayurvedic medicine for it!
Why use medicine from big bad Pharma, when there are old home rememdies, like squirting lemon juice on it that can fix it.
[/snark]
p.s. I hate those damn things. I'm glad they finally made something that actually works for them.
oh nooooooo!!!!
doomed!
